Our culture today is very much a shame culture. All too often, we as a society enjoy when we see others “get what they deserve”. But what if we got what we deserved? Jesus shows the woman caught in adultery compassion and mercy. That is the heart of our Heavenly Father and that is what He desires for us.

Not Your Sunday School Jesus

When we hear about Jesus in Sunday school, often times we focus on meekness or how much He loves us. All this is true but as we get older our expectations of Him can become flawed. Jesus is much more complex and nuanced. In this series we look at stories in the Bible and learn more about the complexities of Jesus and how we can use those observations to become more like Him.
